The cushion of flowers and roses combines the presence of roses with a selection of other flowers suited to mourning, creating a funeral tribute that's full but not overly formal. It's a middle way between the mixed-flowers-only cushion and the roses-only one — ideal for those who want a carefully made thought with a little extra elegance from the roses, without going too far.

It suits church ceremonies, chapels of rest, funeral homes or private homes, placed near the casket or at its sides. Depending on the tones chosen (all white, light, with gentle touches of sober colour), the mood of the message of closeness can be adjusted.

How we make it

Every cushion of flowers and roses is made to order in the Fiorit workshop in Florence, using a structured base and compact workmanship. The roses are set at key points of the arrangement and accompanied by selected mixed flowers, giving movement and softness while keeping a sober style.

"Mixed flowers" means we use the best fresh flowers available at the time, choosing varieties suited to a funeral tribute, in measured colours that are never too bright. The price and size determine the quantity of flowers and the visual presence of the cushion: from the more contained versions to the most imposing.

For special requests (more roses than usual, specific varieties, very precise colour palettes or special sizes) we recommend contacting us: these elements can affect the cost compared with the standard version. If certain flowers can't be sourced, we replace them with alternatives of equal quality and value, keeping the style, proportions and atmosphere consistent.

Artisan's tip: a combination of white, cream and very delicate pink shades often creates a soft, respectful effect — particularly suitable when you want a cushion with a gentle yet composed tone.

How it works

• Choose the size of the cushion based on your budget and who is sending it (family, relatives, friends, colleagues, group).
• Tell us the delivery date within Florence, the time of the service and the location of the ceremony (church, chapel of rest, funeral home, private home).
• In the notes, specify your colour preferences (all white, light tones, white and delicate pink) and the wording for the ribbon and/or card.
• For special requests about rose types, number of flowers or non-standard sizes, please contact us by phone or message so we can assess availability, timing and any price adjustment together.
• If you have urgent needs or questions about delivery times and methods, and we can't answer right away in the workshop, we'll call you back as soon as possible.

• You can order today and request delivery from tomorrow onwards, according to the funeral times and the preparation needed.
• Delivery within Florence (in the areas we normally serve) is included in the price and can be made directly to the ceremony location or to the funeral home/private home.
• You can choose workshop pickup at Via Mario Roselli Cecconi 29/r–31/r, using the code RITIROBOTTEGA if you prefer to manage transport yourself.
• Please bear in mind that delivery times can be affected by traffic and the unexpected: for ceremonies with strict schedules, it's important to state the time of the service clearly and, if necessary, get in touch with us.
