Sending flowers to Florence from abroad: a guide for families and friends
If someone you love is in Florence — studying, living, or celebrating something important — you can send them flowers directly from wherever you are. You don't need to be in Italy, and you don't need to speak Italian.
How it works
Fiorit is an online florist with a laboratory in Florence. Orders are prepared here for delivery to served Florence addresses and confirmed nearby destinations; this is a local service rather than national flower shipping.
The whole process is online. You choose the flowers, enter the recipient's address in Florence, select the delivery date and pay. We send you an order confirmation by email.
What if I'm not sure what to choose?
You can write to us on WhatsApp in English. Tell us the occasion — a graduation, a birthday, a thank you, no particular reason — and something about the person receiving the flowers. We'll suggest what works best and answer any questions you have.
Sending flowers for a graduation in Florence
This is one of the most common requests we receive from abroad. Italian university graduations are celebrated with flowers — especially the laurel crown (corona di alloro), which is the traditional graduation symbol in Italy. If your son, daughter, or friend is graduating in Florence, you can order the laurel crown and a bouquet directly from our site, or ask us on WhatsApp to prepare something specific for the occasion. A few practical things
Choose an available date and allow at least 24 hours. Delivery operates on working days, excluding public holidays. For an important event, order several days ahead and check the handover plan. You need the full address and a useful recipient contact number before completing the order.

What if I only know a neighbourhood?
Contact us before ordering if the address is incomplete. A name and neighbourhood are not enough to carry out a delivery; the full destination and any access details need to be established.
Delivery and collection: plan before the ceremony or celebration
Allow at least 24 hours; 48 hours or more is recommended around busy graduation dates. Delivery operates Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, to served Florence addresses. Same-day delivery is not available. A morning or afternoon preference is a request, not a guaranteed exact time.
Collection from the laboratory at Via Mario Roselli Cecconi 29/r–31/r is by appointment. Use RITIROBOTTEGA at checkout to deduct the delivery component and agree when to collect. An automatic Shopify estimate does not confirm your appointment.
